Our Studio

Welcome to The Movement Room! We are a boutique Pilates studio in the heart of Snells Beach, run by our Founder, Movement and Wellbeing Enthusiast, Shona Cawley.

We offer 1:1 reformer and mat Pilates as well as small group mat Pilates. Our group classes come in the form of slower paced mat classes (Slow Flow) and restorative stretch classes (Release & Revive). We also offer Pilates inspired cardio classes by request in our Private sessions, if you are wanting to build up even more of a sweat.

We like to think of The Movement Room as your sanctuary for movement, breathing, stretching or even sitting in stillness and simply being. We aim to give our clients a comfortable, nurturing, open space where they can move their bodies freely and dedicate some precious time to themselves. We’d like to help people become stronger in their bodies as well as their minds. We believe investing time in yourself is the best investment anyone can make, and movement of the body in whatever way that is, has extraordinary benefits to your overall health and wellbeing.

If you are someone who gives a lot of your time and energy to others, The Movement Room is here so you can put yourself at the centre of your world for a few hours per week. At The Movement Room we know what it feels like to go through a monumental experience, shift or change and we want you to know that we’ve got you and can hold space for you in whatever way you need. It is a place where you can connect back in with yourself and we ensure a strong mind-body connection throughout our classes. We invite you to come as you are and feel healed and empowered by the joy of movement.

We believe exercise shouldn’t feel like a chore. That is why at The Movement Room we aim to create an uplifting environment and bring fun and joy into your time with us. So come and join us, move your body, and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
